OpenG2P Academy

As a Digital Public Good (DPG), OpenG2P enables governments and humanitarian organisations to deliver critical social benefits to those who need them, in a fast, efficient and effective manner. As a step towards contributing to an open, inclusive and collaborative approach, we launched the OpenG2P Academy . This is in line with our commitment to capacity building at scale for governments and our partners to empower their teams to easily deploy, manage and use OpenG2P’s offerings.

OpenG2P Academy provides a platform to learn about OpenG2P, our offerings, and our work through online, self-learning courses that provide experiential, hands-on learning opportunities. Throughout the process, learners will have access to support from the OpenG2P team. They will receive certificates upon successfully completing quizzes and assessments, which are reviewed and graded by the OpenG2P team.

The following self-learning courses are currently available:

• OpenG2P 101: Learn the Basics, was launched earlier this year. This provides a high-level understanding of OpenG2P, its vision, offerings, modules and functionality as well as a hands-on experience on the OpenG2P sandbox.

• 201: Deploy OpenG2P, designed primarily for DevOps engineers. This hands-on course will equip the user to efficiently install OpenG2P components for their sandbox, staging and production setups.

The courses are currently available only to those who are part of our OpenG2P Partner Programme and countries.

The team is working on creating more courses that will provide insights on OpenG2P in specific use cases, and more.

Learning platform

OpenG2P Academy uses Moodle version 4.5 for the courses. Guide to install Moodle and configure it for our purpose is available here.
