# Configure Group Membership Kind

This document provides instructions to configure group membership kind in the ***Beneficiary Registry*** module.

## Prerequisites

* The user must have Registrar and Administrator role.
* The user must have access to the Beneficiary Registry module in OpenG2P systems.

## Procedure

1. Click the main menu icon ![](/files/jsRVDffM09VtGFJaNGuN) and select ***Registry***.

***Registry*** screen is displayed.

2. Click the ***Configuration*** in the menu bar and then select ***Group Membership Kind***.

***Group membership Kind*** screen is displayed.

3. Click the ***Create*** button. It enables an empty field.

4. Enter the relevant [Group Membership Kind](/1.3/pbms/functionality/beneficiary-management/beneficiary-registry-configurations.md#group-membership-kind) in the Kind field.
5. Check the Unique check box, if required. By default Head is checked.

For example, here, enter Daughter in the Kind field.

6. Click the ***Save*** button to save the group membership configuration.
7. Click the ***Discard*** button to exit from the screen.

The newly created group membership configuration is added to the group membership kind list.

8. Repeat the steps 3, 4, 5 and 6 to add the relevant group membership kind.

This completes the configuration of the group membership kind in Beneficiary Registry module.

## Delete group membership kind

Refer to the user guide's [Configure Registrant Tags](/1.3/pbms/functionality/beneficiary-management/beneficiary-registry-configurations/user-guides/configure-registrant-tags.md#delete-registrant-tags) section to delete the configuration of group membership kind.
